During 2010 our ambitions were high. We had finished 2009 with speed, flyingcolours, head high etc. and wanted to keep increasing speed and tyre accounts.
The bikes were coming together nicely and we had during the winter made a desicion to add a 750 class motorbike into the team on top of the 600 class (Yamaha R6) and 1000 class (Yamaha R1) bikes already running.
An old primadonna from Italy was chosen. One of the few Ducati 996R:s that 2001 were delivered straight from the factory direct to become an endurance world cup bike. Taking her out of a decade of sleeping-beauty-hibernation wasn’t altogether without protests.
Mid-season however most of the maintenance-horrors seemed to be over and she was fitted in the team livre. In August horror struck on another level. On shoulder lever would be safe to say. On Automotodrom Most in the Czech Republic Bo’s season was cut shortdue to a high-sider landing shoulder first on the curbs. Titanium is nice. Almost always.
Still we all agreed it is less suitable inside the body than on the bike.Hampus finished the season in Slovakia with a one-armed boxenluder by his side.
